  • Hanami is the centuries old Japanese practice of enjoying and viewing flowers.
The term Hanami translates to flower viewing, and while not specified is almost always used in reference to Cherry Blossoms (Sakura).

The Cherry Blossom flowers typically only last one to two weeks and during this time people will be found having picnics and parties beneath the blossoms.

These two Tanuki are pictured enjoying their own picnic complete with Onigiri and Sake!
