These Pieces are modelled on the Monkey guardians of a Hie shrine,
Monkeys are considered to be good parents and have stable families in japan as such the statues at the Hie shrine are said to bring blessings of safe child deliveries, prosperity to children and good fortune in love and marriage!
The father is wearing a Shinto priests costume and the mother is wearing a Kimono.
