Flying fish can't quite fly but man can they glide! 
They powerfully leap from the sea and can glide for considerable distances, It's thought that this behaviour is a means to escape predators, although I suspect they're just trying to look cool!
the longest recorded Flying Fish flight is 45 seconds and they can glide as high as 6 meters above the seas surface!
